Pointy is built as a local, free walking compass. It does not use accounts, ads, analytics SDKs, third-party tracking, or cloud sync.
What Pointy uses
Pointy asks for location permission so it can show your position on the map, calculate distance to the destination you choose, and rotate the arrow using location and heading.
What stays on your device
- Saved places, recent places, parked vehicle location, walk history, onboarding state, and app settings are stored locally on your device.
- Pointy does not run its own servers and does not send your saved places, walk history, or live location to the developer.
- Apple Maps and system services may process requests according to Apple's privacy policies when you use MapKit search or maps.
No tracking
Pointy does not track you across apps or websites, does not sell data, and does not include advertising or analytics SDKs.
Your choices
You can delete saved places, clear recents, clear parked vehicle information, and remove walk history in the app. You can also revoke location permission at any time in iOS Settings.
